CARG coordinates, campaigns, lobbies and petitions in pursuit of its Aims to:
1) promote fellowship and dialogue between residents living in the Cathedral Area
and also between their respective residents associations and other
representative bodies;
2) facilitate co-operation in matters of common interest for residents;
3) protect and improve the environmental quality and amenity of the Westminster
Cathedral Conservation Area and of the locality;
4) be the representative body in discussions with local and other agencies (e.g.
Westminster City Council, Transport for London and developers) on matters
which have a bearing on the quality of life for residents and to make formal
representations to local or other agencies as necessary;
5) influence and assist the Victoria Neighbourhood Forum, particularly with
preparation and delivery of the Neighbourhood Plan;
6) work with other organisations (e.g. Westminster Cathedral, local schools),
including local societies (e.g. Westminster Society and the Thorney Island
Society) and businesses with an interest in the local environment and amenity.
